Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Greenhaven Landscapes ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Greenhaven Landscapes is the data controller for the information you provide to us through this website.
Information we collect
- Enquiry details you send through our contact form — your name, email address, phone number (if given) and your message.
- Booking details when you request or make a booking — your name, contact details and the date, time and service requested.
- Technical information collected automatically — your IP address and basic request logs, used to keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
How we use your information, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you ask for — on the basis of our legitimate interests in running our business and, where you place an order or booking, to perform our contract with you.
- To keep the website secure and prevent fraud and spam — on the basis of our legitimate interests.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations — on the basis of legal obligation.
- Payments. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your full card details are entered on Stripe's systems and are never seen or stored by us. Stripe acts as a separate data controller for payment data under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies strictly necessary to make it work — for example to keep you signed in or to remember the contents of your basket. These do not require consent. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If we ever add optional analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first through a cookie banner.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the suppliers that help us run the business: our website host and technical provider, JM Techni, who processes data on our behalf as our data processor; our payment provider, Stripe; and email and similar service providers. We may also disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer records only for as long as we need them for the purposes above and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for a portable copy. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. You can contact us by email at [email protected], or by phone on 028 9555 5555, or by post at Lisburn, Co. Antrim.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
